UNDERSTAND YOUR NUMBERS

What will I keep from an eBay sale?

See your eBay fees, take-home profit and margin before you list. Sales tax can be part of the fee basis even though it is not seller revenue. The standard non-Store baseline uses a lower rate above $7,500. For other categories or Store plans choose custom and enter your applicable tiers.

The formula, explained.

Final value fee = tiered rate × total sale basis + per-order fee
Net profit = seller revenue − selling fees − promoted fees − product and fulfillment costs

A worked example

At the editable 13.6% baseline, a $100 sale with no tax or buyer shipping incurs $13.60 plus a $0.40 order fee. With $50 in product and shipping costs, profit is $36.

How to interpret your result
